Eatontown, New Jersey (January 8, 2015) – PacketStorm Communications® congratulates the JPEG2000 (J2K) interoperability team and the Video Services Forum on winning the 2013 – 2014 Technology and Engineering Emmy Award. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) awarded the Emmy for the standardization and productization of JPEG2000 interoperability.

Jack Douglass, PacketStorm VP of Business Development and Marketing and the Secretary / Treasurer of the Video Services Forum as well as the other members of the Video Services Forum Board received the Emmy Award.

JPEG2000 enables Broadcasters to transmit near lossless high quality video (HD and UHD) over an IP networks. This technology was used to transmit last year’s Olympics to the Broadcast Studios.
