PacketStorm Communications Releases PacketStorm 4XG Stream Replicator & Modifier

PacketStorm Communications® announced today the release of their PacketStorm4XG IP Stream Replicator & Modifier. Typical applications include: emulating a large video farm, stress testing QAM gateways and DSLAMs, and qualifying router performance with live video streams.

The PacketStorm4XG Stream Replicator & Modifier is the first product of its kind to generate live video streams at rates up to 10 Gbps with non-sequential addressing. There are two replicator versions: 1 Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

The PacketStorm4XG is a hardware platform that is sold to be either a network emulator or a stream replicator. In the future, users will be able to purchase both products and switch between them while using the same hardware.

Some of the Stream Replicator & Modifier features include: up to 90 input streams, up to 4000 output streams, non-sequential addresses, maintain original stream’s characteristics, replicate livestreams, and modify nine IP fields.
