PacketStorm Communications Releases PacketStorm6XG Stream Replicator & Modifier

PacketStorm Communications® announced today the release of their PacketStorm6XG IP Stream Replicator & Modifier. Typical applications include: emulating a large video farm, stress testing QAM gateways and DSLAMs, and qualifying router performance with live video streams.

The PacketStorm6XG Stream Replicator & Modifier is PacketStorm’s second generation product to generate live video streams at rates up to 10 Gbps with non-sequential addressing. The replicator supports two interface types: 1 Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

The PacketStorm6XG is a core component of live network simulation. Some of the types of network simulation include: video server, video broadcast with advertisement insertions, and surveillance of changing video activity.

Some of the Stream Replicator & Modifier features include: up to 64 input streams, up to 4000 output streams, non-sequential addresses, maintain original stream’s characteristics, replicate live streams, and modify nine IP fields.
