Welcome to the Packtor 400e Network Emulator training session. In this session, we’ll show how to log into the network emulator and perform a quick test.
First, log in through your browser. Use “administrator” as the username and the serial number as the password. Once logged in, the HMI user interface appears. Select the remote GUI and choose the file.
The Java interface will begin to load. When the Java login screen appears, log in using the same credentials as the HMI interface. Click start, and the GUI will open.
After logging in, the Java interface will display on your screen. To perform a quick test, select a source and destination. These icons allow filtering. The source is set to 192.168.1.1, and the destination to 192.168.1.2.
Next, select a delay icon, double-click it, and set the delay to 100 milliseconds. Then, grab a bandwidth probe. Connect the icons by linking the nodes. While exact alignment isn’t necessary, arranging the icons neatly can help keep the test organized.
The test filters traffic through the link, applying a 100-millisecond delay. The bandwidth probe monitors the data passing through.
